Gruvöns musikkår is a traditional Swedish marching band/orchestra that was founded 1911 by workers at the Gruvön saw mill in Grums, Sweden.

The orchestra consists of amateur musicians, who are playing for the fun of it. Our repertoire consists of all kinds of musical styles, ranging from the traditional marches and classical music to more modern sounding pop music. Check out our sound page for some samples of our musical abilities.

We play mostly in the areas around Grums, but the orchestra have been playing in other parts of Sweden and Scandinavia as well.

Even though the majority of the pages on this site are in Swedish (our main audience is after all Swedish), you can still take a look at some photos on our photo page to see how the orchestra have changed through the years.
